Neha Jain is a SEAS Junior from Southlake, Texas studying Operations Research. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Finance where she has guided the most successful round of ESC Project Grants to date, the Bacchanal/Student Council partnership, the improvement of the Vendor’s List, and most recently the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative for ESC. In her free time, she likes to learn Mandarin, ponder organizational efficiency, and design Harry Potter-themed bulletin boards for her 43 amazing John Jay residents. Throughout the past 6 semesters as a part of various clubs, ESC, Residential Life, and more, Neha has had the opportunity to work with dozens of brilliant, hilarious, and kind SEAS students from all different backgrounds and connect with many wonderful administrators. She loves the fact that serving as President of ESC would allow her to leverage her experience, leadership, and connections to help the great Columbians she’s met achieve their academic, social, and professional goals. Neha looks forward to spending her senior year working towards a better and more inclusive Columbia.
Aida Lu is a SEAS first-year from Houston, Texas studying Operations Research. Currently, she serves as ESC Class of 2019 Representative and sits on the ESC Finance Committee, where she has overseen a successful round of project grants and spearheaded the distribution of $16,000 for student groups’ capital expenditures. Aida has greatly enjoyed being on the Finance Committee this year but has seen first-hand many areas with room for improvement. She is passionate about improving the efficiency with which student life fees are distributed and continuing to work with council members, student groups, and engineers to ensure that SEAS students’ funding needs are met. Outside of student council, Aida is active in the Society of Women Engineers, Columbia Financial Investment Group, and Lion Credit Union Initiative. In her free time, Aida can be found binge-watching bad chick flicks, napping on Butler Lawn, and being touristy in Times Square.
Anthony Kim is a SEAS junior from Baltimore, Maryland studying Computer Science. Currently, Anthony is a member of Sigma Nu and a freelance developer. At his former school, University of Virginia, Anthony was the Dillard Association Council President and a member of the First-Year Leadership Program where he organized a haunted trail for Halloween, a semester long Assassins game, and coordinated talent shows between different housing associations. As a transfer student, he understands the many obstacles that new students have to overcome after being admitted. Anthony hopes to ease incoming students’ transitions so that they can truly embrace all that Columbia has to offer. When he isn’t working or writing scripts to obtain Bacchanal tickets, Anthony can be found watching soccer or sitting on the pool table at 1020.

Throughout the last 6 semesters, Piyushi has been involved in many clubs, such as Society of Women Engineers and APAHM, and has served as a Residential Adviser for the past two years. Through these positions, she has been able to learn and gain insight into unique outlooks and changes students would like to see be made at Columbia, and hopes to take these experiences and make them a reality. Piyushi is really excited for this position and hopes that by serving as VP Student Life, she is able to plan fun, school-wide events, positively impact SEAS students, and help make Columbia a better place.
